Kinothon ITA – Il progetto video/sonoro Kinothon nasce da alcune pratiche di improvvisazione che riguardano musica ed immagini in movimento, le idee e le macchine. Lontano dallo Spettacolo audiovisivo di dj e vj ma anche dal noise estremo, che immagina ancora uno spettatore-massa, pensiamo che il cosiddetto “pubblico” sia un elemento strutturale, che deve essere liberato con ogni mezzo necessario. Il suono di tastiere modificate o campionatori basati su sintesi granulare e drum-machines condiziona in tempo reale la struttura delle immagini, ma accade anche il contrario, attraverso l’uso di un software che distrugge e ricostruisce continuamente Cinema/Fotografia/Televisione in un flusso di informazione ancora umano.
ENG – The Kinothon video/sound project stems from some improvisation practices involving music and moving images, ideas and machines. Far from any dj and vj approach but also from the extreme noise (which still imagines a mass-spectator), we think that the so-called “public” is a structural element, which must be delivered by any means necessary. The sound of modified keyboards or samplers based on granular synthesis and drum machines condition the production/structure of the images in real time, but the opposite also happens, through the use of a software that destroy and transforms Cinema/Photography/Television/Internet into a continuous and still human flow. Nothing is True. Everything is permitted.
